The famous Gladiator was a phenomenon in Bart Geerinckx's racing loft and later became a world famous breeder as well.

His name can be mentioned in the "golden book" of the famous breeding pigeons, alongside names of other cracks such as the "Kannibaal", the "Nationaal I" and the "Harry". Every year we find ace pigeons or national winners that carry the 'Gladiator' strain within them. The two currently best-performing pigeons of the Geerinckx stock are two grandsons of this "Gladiator".
