24,445 pigeons start the Ruhr area flight from Hemau

After the weather conditions in the week before the Hemau flight were not exactly ideal due to the great heat and humidity, and the weather forecast for the weekend was not exactly promising, the flight from Hemau was able to start as planned. The starting signal for the Ruhr area flights of the 2018 season was given.

At 06:15 a.m. the starting shot was fired for the 24,445 pigeons of the 939 participating lofts from the regional associations 400, 401, 402, as well as the two RVen "Hamm an der Lippe" and "Germania Werne" from the regional association 412.

With a pleasant 16 `C at the release site and no wind there, the pigeons also found good flying conditions on the route. In this way, speeds of around 1,296.016 m/min could be achieved. The bankruptcy process was then also across all RVen quickly and on average with about 40 minutes more than normal.

It's a gorgeous hammered hen winning this year's Hemau race. Bred from absolute top lines of the successful breed Petra Schenk and Helmut Winkelhahn. Already as a young animal she won 5 prizes out of 6 flights and this year she can point to a full house with 7/7 so far. The Ruhr area victory is (so far - the season is still long) the highlight. Such pigeons go down in history. The "215" was bred from their own successful line. Her mother is the "796" a hen who has won 31 prizes in 32 races.

With a total of 32 prizes from 55 pigeons entered, the other aces of the SG also proved their class.
