On weekend 09./10. July 2022 Olivier Geyskens (Veerle) became national winner of Belgium GUREET in the "YEARS" category. His pigeon (BE21-6222526) was clocked on Saturday at 15:21:54 after a flight of 589 km with an average speed of 1199.33 m/min. This was also the fastest of 20,583 pigeons, 8,375 old birds and 12,208 yearlings.

Weather conditions during the liberation: blue skies and sunny spells, no wind, good visibility. But north wind and northeast wind during the flight made it a tough race!
