SG Hendriks – Top class from the Netherlands…

Already & Florian Hendriks have always been looking for top material, because everything starts with good pigeons. Their base at that time was the "Little Gerard", a bird from two direct Koopman pigeons.

Florian found his way to Jan Hooymans, from whom he bought 15 boys of the famous "Harry". This quickly turned out to be an excellent investment. But good pigeons alone are not enough - they form the basis, but everything that happens on and around the loft is also very important. This includes the structure of the loft, hygiene and good care. yeah & Florian are convinced of the Röhnfried products. Throughout March, their pigeons receive Hexenbier every day. This gives the animals good blood circulation, white eye rims and white noses. But not only that - they actually get the perfect basic condition to train with joy. "You can just see the difference," says Florian. All supplies and training are done very punctually. The training takes place twice a day and always at the same time. So the pigeons get used to it and eventually train better.

The two have chosen the system of classic widowhood as a method. The birds come into the basket every two weeks. This gives Jo and Florian the opportunity to basket every pigeon in top condition. When they get home, the two always give the animals Mumm in their drinking water and then Rotosal in their feed for about two to three days. After that, they start using Carni-Speed in the drinking water.
In order to get into a good basic condition, a vitamin treatment with Gervit-W is done before the first flight, followed by a week with Blitzform. Next week it's Bt-Amin forte. To keep the airways clear, they like to use Rozitol in the form of nasal drops every two weeks. Florian drips the Rozitol into the noses of all widowers. He then leaves the pigeons alone for about 10 minutes, only to pick them up again after the short break. He then pinches their noses shut because experience has shown that all the mucus comes out much easier.
When the birds are not taking part in the flights, they are given a short training session of about 40 km. When they come back home, they can also see their partner.
"Maybe these are all small details, but we are very comfortable with this system and find that our birds keep their morale much more easily."
First thing in the morning, Jo or Florian look for the droppings and whether they can find any down. In addition, the pigeons get fresh grit every day, delicious stone every Monday or Tuesday and regularly Moorgold and Entrobac together with immune boosters via the feed. The condition powder RO 200 is also often used - sometimes shortly after a difficult race, but also to prepare for the race for about three days. The blend of prebiotics, electrolytes, amino acids, minerals and vitamins improves the animals' shape.
