1. NATIONAL CHATEAUROUX II YEAR 2018 against 12,942 pigeons.

In Welvegem, a provincial town with approx. 32,000 inhabitants in Westfladern, near the French border, a new superstar in the international pigeon sport is based. Had they won this attribute to date names like Huyskens-Van Riel, Gebr. Engels or Andre Roodhoft, one can distinguish now in modern times Gino Clique with this accessory.

Gino (56) found a few years ago that it was time to turn his hobby into a career and he decided to put this into practice. Since childhood Gino was an absolute Brieftaubenzüchter with big plans and even then, he dreamed of one day to imitate the Great in pigeon racing.

The prerequisites for this were given in each case: Absolute expertise, multiple wins and national titles, as well as a built-up over years Pigeons Basic and perfect blow plant. Added to this is the great motivation and the will to win! For this one actually goes almost to the physical pain threshold!

All this has been implemented in cooperation with son Jasper into action. After one of the most spectacular sales of pigeon history in 2016, in which all the old birds and the yearlings, were up to the young birds sold, the new strategic plan should be implemented.

With this sales total 405 pigeons were offered and there was an average price per pigeon in the amount of € 5,297 !! be achieved. Among these was the "Golden Prince" of the almost incredible sum of € 360,000 !! was sold to South Africa.

Taking care of the stock is one and all in the hands of Gino, his wife and son Jasper. This means that together so about 16 hours a day during the season. During the autumn and winter days, however, you are probably not involved so, quite a lot of visitors but from home and abroad to do this time to see everything here.

After the sale in 2016 can be found at present around 125 newly formed breeding pairs on the beats. These new pairs are all descendants of the doves sold and thus to 100% percent of the old, successful basis.

This base is actually based on three pillars:

• The "Robert" line of Robert Dobbelaere that was taken in 1996 for the flights of long distance and great long distance, so for the "hard work" to the beats.
• In the year 200 the "Figo" family of Reynaert family was added fetched. These pigeons were to bring the speed in the stock.

A fourth bloodline as a kind of reserve are the offspring of the "Red Filip" of Luicien Staelens. These pigeons are particularly appreciated in hard races from 600 kilometers and crossed with the above lines, but kept pure for further breeding.

In 2018 now a touring team of 250 two-year and year pigeons for distances of 400 to 800 Mileage ready. About 70 birds of this team should be played according to the system of classical widowhood. Another 180 pigeons on the long shot widowhood. Also there is a ready, but smaller team for the extreme long distance.

105 females of the above 180 and which will be played after the total widowhood 75 birds, in this case undergo a so-called "Chaos System". Here beautiful success has been proven already. This system is as follows: birds and females are kept separate. You have no steady partner. can come together if they then before and after a flight to envision what's hot. It is so coupled to the end of March and the pairs are then allowed to come to eggs, but these are removed after 2-3 days.

Eine Winterzucht kennt man hier nicht, da alle Tauben in dieser Zeit in Volieren untergebracht sind. Allerdings bekommen alle Tauben zwei bis dreimal die Woche Freiflug, was sich in jedem Falle als Gesundheitsfördernd ausgezahlt hat.

Die Mannschaft der Jungtauben besteht aus rund 250 Jungtauben, von denen rund 80 der Ältesten auf die Schläge von Ronny Menten, Rummen wechselt, um dort gespielt zu werden. Diese Zusammenarbeit hat sich bis dato als absolut Gewinnbringend ausgezahlt. Hier in Welvegem werden die Jungtauben ab der zweiten Februarwoche bis hin zum 21. Juni verdunkelt. Verdunkelt heißt hier, dass die Tauben für 10 Stunden Tageslicht haben und die rechtliche Zeit „Stockfinster“ sitzen. Nach dieser Phase kommen die Jungtauben in die Voliere, um dann auch das Training rausgelassen zu werden. Hierbei liegt das Hauptaugenmerk auf den Nationalflügen.

Die Fütterung aller Tauben wird mit den Qualitätsmischungen der Fa. Vanrobaeys abgedeckt. Für die Zuchttauben wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit Vanrobaeys eine eigene Zuchtmischung entwickelt, die alle Bedürfnisse für eine erfolgreiche Zucht abdeckt. Während der Reise wird Im Wechsel zwischen Regeneration und Formaufbau mit den Mischungen: Premium Power Relay Nr. 183, Lady Mix Nr. 56 (leichte Mischungen), Super Spezial Reise Nr. 12 (Aufbau) und Premium Power Dynamik Nr.: 184, sowie Top Energie Nr.: 35 (Energie) gearbeitet. Hinzu kommen selbstverständlich täglich frisch Vanrobaeys Super Grit Mix, Vanrobaeys rote Mineralien und Vanrobaeys Taubenkuchen zur freien Aufnahme.

Viele werden jetzt sagen: „Na mit solch einer Truppe!?“ Aber wer kann schon mit solch einem Bestand auch solche Ergebnisse auf dieser Ebene nachweisen? Der Entschluss, Profi zu werden war natürlich war damit verbunden, einen größeren Bestand zu betreuen als der „normale“ Züchter. Auch aus diesem Grund heraus scheut er auch nicht die Herausforderungen und spielt das komplette Programm von der Kurzstrecke bis hin zur Großen Weitstrecke. Noch dazu ist er schon fast jährlich bei der Vergabe der nationalen Ass-Taubenwertung vertreten. Und gerade diese Ass-Tauben sind in der Lage immer wieder aus Neue Spitzenpreise zu fliegen, so dass man sicherlich nicht von „Eintagsfliegen“ sprechen kann.
